Retail Council of Canada launches 'ShopIn™' to encourage Canadian shoppers to show local love Français
TORONTO, Nov. 26, 2015 /CNW/ - Independent retailers are part of the fabric of each and every community in Canada. Retail Council of Canada (RCC) has launched a national campaign called 'ShopIn' to celebrate the passion and entrepreneurial spirit of independent merchants by encouraging Canadian shoppers to show local love and share their #ShopIn moments via social media. Kicking off on Saturday November 28th, ShopIn is an ongoing initiative to boost the profile, and store traffic, of independent retailers during the holiday sales season and beyond. ShopIn is proudly supported by American Express, Chase Paymentech, MasterCard and Moneris Solutions.
Throughout the ShopIn campaign, consumers will be reminded that shopping at these local stores at any time of the year offers an array of attractions, including exclusive product offerings, personalized service and a substantial local payback.
"Retail Council of Canada is thrilled to launch ShopIn to promote pride for independent merchants and to champion the cultural and economic contributions of these retail entrepreneurs in communities from coast to coast," says Mark Startup, Vice President of Retail Council of Canada's MySTORE division. "We have created a toolkit of resources to help our independent members promote this initiative to their customers and their community, and we look forward to growing this initiative during key shopping seasons throughout the year."
