Securitas Transport Aviation Security Limited and the United Steelworkers reach a new collective agreement Français
Minister Leitch congratulates both parties
OTTAWA, June 17, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Securitas Transport Aviation Security Limited and the United Steelworkers on the renewal of their collective agreement with Gander International Airport.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.

- The collective agreement covering approximately 15 employees providing pre-boarding security screening services at Gander International Airport expired on March 31, 2015.
- The collective agreements covering Securitas Transport Aviation Security Limited employees at various other airports (Bathurst Airport, Charlottetown Airport, Churchill Falls Airport, Deer Lake Regional Airport, Fredericton International Airport, Goose Bay International Airport, Greater Moncton International Airport, Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport, J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport, Saint John Airport, Stephenville International Airport, St. Anthony Airport, St. John's International Airport and Wabush Airport) were also previously ratified.
