MONTREAL, Feb. 3, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec are starting the year on a high note with a significant gain in subscriptions. In total, the two newspapers recorded an exceptional increase of 16,000 subscribers, or 10%, compared to the same period last year, confirming once again their position as Quebec leaders in information.
"This spike in subscriptions shows beyond any doubt that readers want and still want their paper edition. We will continue to leave the readers the choice to get the news on all our platforms. Thanks to our diverse and comprehensive offering, we are also able to meet our advertisers' specific needs and effectively reach their target consumer," said Lyne Robitaille, Senior Vice-President, Newspapers, Quebecor Media Group.
