MONTREAL, Jan. 9, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Relating to the recent serious allegations of misconduct at the Edmonton Institution, the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO-SACC-CSN) issues the following statement:
"Although UCCO-SACC-CSN cannot comment on specific cases due to privacy considerations and an ongoing investigation, the union wants to clearly state that it firmly condemns all forms of harassment.
UCCO-SACC-CSN believes that prevention and education are the first steps towards eliminating workplace harassment and we will continue our work to promote a harassment free environment at all federal facilities, including the Edmonton Institution."
