Statistics Canada to release data on unfounded criminal incidents, and police-reported crimes Français
OTTAWA, July 19, 2018 /CNW/ - On July 23, 2018, Statistics Canada's Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics will publish data on unfounded criminal incidents, and police-reported crime—including the crime severity index—with the release of the 2017 annual crime statistics. The release is part of a 2017 commitment by Statistics Canada and the policing community to publish data on unfounded incidents, including sexual assaults.
The data will be available in The Daily on Statistics Canada's website at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
