TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - For the fifth consecutive year, Stikeman Elliott LLP has been selected among the 50 Best Employers in Canada, in a survey undertaken by Aon Hewitt. The firm placed 20th overall among 84 organizations ranked for the study.
"Stikeman Elliott is committed to fostering and maintaining a positive environment for firm members, our clients, and the communities in which we operate," said William Braithwaite, Stikeman Elliott Chair. "To this end, we offer continuous learning, development and mentorship opportunities, focus on client service excellence and are dedicated to being responsible corporate citizens."
Criteria for selection was completely determined by surveys completed by firm members. The study measures employee engagement, with Aon Hewitt noting that organizations with high engagement enjoy tangible benefits such as a greater ability to attract and retain key talent and superior client/customer service.
For Stikeman Elliott, the results tell us that our firm members very much enjoy the work they do at the firm and feel a great sense of accomplishment from it. The results also show that our firm members think Stikeman Elliott is the right place for them and that they would recommend Stikeman Elliott to friends and others as an employer of choice. Our firm members are dedicated and client focused people whose contributions help make Stikeman Elliott a great place to work.
"This distinction is especially meaningful as it reflects the opinions of our firm members," said Braithwaite. "The insights we glean from this survey are critical to allowing us to refine our efforts to make Stikeman Elliott a great place to work and in turn allow us to deliver excellent services to our clients."
Stikeman Elliott is committed to undertaking initiatives that enhance its workplace environment and corporate citizenship. Some of the firm's major new and ongoing initiatives in the past year include:
