Study relating to the auto insurance industry

TORONTO, June 22, 2012 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs will conduct a study of the auto insurance industry's practices and trends and develop recommendations on how to make auto insurance rates more affordable.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto, Brampton, Windsor and Thunder Bay during the week of July 9, 2012.

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation should contact the Clerk of the Committee by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the study may send written submissions to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
