MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced record-breaking July sales with 4,210 units retailed in July, an increase of 4.1 percent. Subaru Canada's year-to-date sales are up 2.2 percent with 28,125 units sold during the first seven months of 2016, representing the Japanese automaker's highest year-to-date results ever. Heading into the second half of 2016 with milestone year-to-date results puts Subaru Canada in a good position to achieve its fifth consecutive annual sales record.
Subaru's compact crossover, the Crosstrek, enjoyed sales growth of 6.5 percent with 840 units sold this past July. The Outback, Subaru's SUV alternative, moved 964 units to propel sales with a skyrocketing increase of 40.5 percent this month over the same period last July. Subaru's performance sedan, the WRX STI, celebrated its best July ever with 404 of the turbocharged rally icons retailed, an impressive increase of 30.7 percent.
