Technoparc Montréal is thrilled to welcome the NéoMed Institute to its Saint-Laurent Campus Français
MONTREAL, Nov. 23, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Technoparc Montréal is very pleased that the NéoMed Institute, a newly established public-private biopharmaceutical research consortium, is taking up residence at its Saint-Laurent Campus, a move that was announced this morning by Quebec Minister of Finance and the Economy, Nicolas Marceau, Max Fehlmann, the man behind this initiative, Dr. Neil Maresky, Vice-President of Scientific Affairs at AstraZeneca Canada, and John Helou, President of Pfizer Canada.
Mario Monette, President and CEO of Technoparc Montréal, says he is especially pleased by the innovative aspect of this collaborative model, which will help create highly specialized jobs at the science park which will serve to develop tomorrow's drugs. "I'm very excited that it's happening here at Technoparc Montréal's Saint-Laurent Campus. There is no question that the NéoMed Institute's presence will have a positive effect on our researchers and our city's ability to remain a cutting edge innovator in the biopharmaceutical sector."
