MONTRÉAL, Nov. 12, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires (Salon MPA) is undergoing a facelift in 2015, with a multitude of new features. Thus, in addition to the forty continuous improvement and innovation projects presented by as many companies, the Salon will also offer experiential zones. For starters, a dialogue studio will give companies an opportunity to take part in live co-development in order to resolve management or production problems. The Salon has also been enriched with a pavilion entitled À la recherche de solutions (In Search of solutions) where the best problem-solving tools will be presented. Finally, a section of the Salon MPA will be dedicated to training capsules concerning continuous improvement.
Approximately 2,500 company managers and strategic workers are expected to attend the Salon MPA, which will be held today at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. This unique event is organized by the Mouvement québécois de la qualité in cooperation with Québec's Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et des Exportations.
"After 23 years of existence, the Salon MPA is getting a facelift, while building on its main strength, namely continuous improvement and innovation projects. It is, however, time for new features with the live co-development dialogue studio, the problem solving pavilion and the multiplication of continuous improvement training capsules presented by experienced facilitators. Yes! The Salon MPA is being re-invented in 2015," said Johanne Malette, General Manager of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité.
A rich programme in touch with the concerns of businesspeople
Once again this year, this unique event offers manufacturing and service businesses a high-quality programme with meetings and conferences where important economic stakeholders will share their expertise. For example, during the Forum des leaders (Leaders' Forum), five businesspeople and specialists will discuss the company of the future and the challenges it will have to face in order to remain competitive. How can it adapt quickly to its environment? How can it satisfy its customers' new needs? What challenges will it face in terms of growth, governance and human resource management? This panel, hosted by Stéphan Bureau, will include Jean-François Barsoum, Senior Consultant, Smart Cities, IBM; Stéphane Bégin, President of Conceptromec inc; Dominique Brown, President of Chocolats Favoris; Robert Gagné, Director, Centre sur la productivité et la prospérité-HEC Montréal, and Ianik Marcil, independent economist.
Moreover, participants may also attend a grand international conference given by Jeff Noël, an experienced speaker who worked for more than 30 years as a leader with Walt Disney World Resort, a company with more than 40,000 employees. His conference is entitled: Create the magic of Disney in your organization!
