C2-MTL's second edition already confirmed: be there, May 21 to 23 2013
MONTREAL, May 25, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Over the past few days, some 1,300 participants from over 40 countries saw the likes of Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Eisner, Daniel Lamarre and other big names of the world of commerce and creativity, and got the opportunity to discuss, collaborate, network and celebrate with world-class business leaders. They leave now with a bounce in their step and a check on their 2013 calendar: the second edition of C2-MTL will be held from May 21 to 23.
"This first edition was a real tour de force and we have great ambition for future editions. We were able to showcase Montreal's creative talent through various presentations and special events. Great news: we have already sold our first ticket for 2013. The CEO of a biomedical company, based in California, will be back next year", declared Jean-François Bouchard, Curator and President of Sid Lee.
"From now on, C2-MTL will kick off Montreal's summer of great events, just before the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Thanks in part to the outstanding innovation village created specifically for the conference, and to our top-grade speakers, C2-MTL's debut was nothing short of amazing, and it met all our expectations, content- and experience-wise. We hope that C2-MTL will become an intellectual and experiential benchmark all over the world; this first edition has been a giant leap forward," said C2-MTL executive producer Benoît Berthiaume.
10,000 entries, 100 journalists, 2km of tweets
Throughout the conference, C2-MTL registered 10,000 entries, on top of web followers. About a hundred journalists attended this first edition, among which nearly half came from outside of Quebec. Through its website, C2-MTL reached online visitors from a hundred different countries.
Speakers and artistic performances leave crowd in awe
C2-MTL debut's met all expectations: Arianna Huffington launched her new GPS for the Soul app; Ian Schrager, master of reinvention, founder of NYC's famous Studio 54, and creator of the boutique-hotel concept, shared the key to his success; international sensation Moby offered an outstanding performance; the Cirque du Soleil artists mesmerized the audience with their artistic skills, including during the opening evening, where everyone gathered on a terrace to enjoy a performance created exclusively for C2-MTL, set to an operatic soundtrack, with the downtown skyline serving as a breathtaking backdrop.
The exceptional atmosphere inside the New City Gas throughout the event is the result of the talents of many partners, such as Plaster, which gave musical interludes between the different acts, Baillat Cardell & Fils, which created the stage projections, and Thomas Pintal, in charge of stage direction.
Philippe Stark and Richard Branson at C2-MTL in 2013?
