The Government of Canada awards nearly $450,000 in financial assistance to Entreprises E.F. Arseneault, Sablage Caso and RP Métal

Les Entreprises E.F.Arseneault (known as Arseno), Sablage Caso and RP Métal are dynamic, growing companies. To maintain their momentum and continue growing, they will receive repayable contributions totalling $445,150 from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
The announcement was made today by David Lametti, Member of Parliament for LaSalle–Émard–Verdun and Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. The funding granted by the Government of Canada will allow the recipient businesses to achieve their established growth objectives. By carrying out their respective projects, they will generate total investments of over $1.5 million and create six new jobs in the RCM of Maskinongé.

The purpose of the project is to expand the company, specifically to improve productivity and increase production capacity. To achieve that, the following activities are required: transferring operations to a new plant to be built and purchasing new equipment that will enable higher-performance production. CED's contribution is intended for, among other things, purchasing and installing a sanding room, a painting room and a mixing room. Three jobs are expected to be created.
Founded in June 2015, Sablage Caso is a company specializing in the sandblasting and finishing of small-batch components. The company has the qualifications and equipment for sanding and painting, using baked powder or liquid paint, various types of parts made of metal. The project aims to improve the company's productivity and increase its production capacity. It involves purchasing strategic digital equipment to automate part of the production. CED's contribution will cover the purchase of a numerically controlled (CNC) machine and an automated industrial sewing machine, which will help optimize production and reduce delivery times. This project is expected to create two jobs.
Founded in 2000, Les Entreprises E.F. Arsenault specializes in upholstering wooden chairs for prime manufacturers of wooden furniture (residential furniture, hotel and restaurant sectors). The company is working at preparing its own line of finished products including padded benches and chairs as well as poker tables. |
RP Métal inc. |
Repayable contribution of $30,000 out of a total investment of $60,000
The goal of the project is to improve the company's productivity and increase its production capacity by purchasing digital production equipment: CED's contribution will cover the purchase of production equipment, specifically a digital press brake. Ultimately, this project could create one job.
Incorporated in 2014 (but created in 1994), RP Métal specializes in the manufacture and repair of stainless steel and aluminium equipment. This SME manufactures such things as counters, sinks, carts, packing tables, evaporators and ventilation parts. The company has developed expertise and a very good network in the food business. |
