VAUGHAN, ON, June 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne; Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca; Adam Vaughan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister (Intergovernmental Affairs) and Member of Parliament for Spadina—Fort York, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; along with York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson; and Josh Colle, Toronto Transit Commission Chair and Toronto City Councillor (Ward 15 Eglinton-Lawrence), will visit the site of the future Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station to mark the completion of track installation for the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension.

Parking
Only Live Eye vehicles will be permitted to park on the VMC event site, located off Jane Street, north of Highway 7, off of Portage Parkway. Vehicles will need to be signed in at the gate. Advance notification is required as there is limited parking for Live Eye vehicles on site. Contact Mike DeToma, TTC, 416-806-1712, email: [email protected]
Other Media will be transported to the VMC event site by shuttle bus. To access the shuttle bus, media will have designated parking at IKEA, 200 Interchange Way, Lot G. Media are required to sign in and will be directed to the media designated parking area. Directional signage will be provided. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
The event will be held outdoors at a working construction site. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. This includes steel-toe safety boots, helmet, reflective vest, safety glasses and gloves. It is MANDATORY that all media attending the event supply their own CSA-approved (green tag) steel toe safety boots. Other equipment is available, but if you have it, please wear it. Important: Long pants must be worn and shoulders must be covered.
A photo opportunity will be provided in the VMC Station, at track level. Note that there will not be wireless reception below ground.
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT
I, , acknowledge that I am leaving my vehicle unattended in the parking lot of IKEA Vaughan, located at 200 Interchange Way, Vaughan Ontario, on June 6, 2016 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The vehicle will be parked on IKEA property. The times above may vary depending on my own arrival and departure.
I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY, AND AGREE TO ASSUME ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR RISKS OF PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER THOSE RISKS ARE KNOWN OR UNKNOWN.
