TriAct Canada to Donate 100 per cent of its Trading Fees to Right To Play on Second Annual Charity Day Français
TORONTO, Dec. 2, 2014 /CNW/ - On December 4, 2014, TriAct Canada Marketplace LP will donate all MATCH Now marketplace trading fees earned that day to Right To Play — a global organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children around the world. This year's TriAct Canada Charity Day builds on the success of last year's initial fundraiser, which was the first of its kind in the history of Canadian trading venues.
During market hours on December 4, orders routed through MATCH Now will automatically contribute to TriAct's fundraising effort. Clients will continue to benefit from price improvement by trading at the mid-point of the bid/ask spread. However, on this day, the upside will extend beyond the client, and to children in communities around the globe.
"For children, play is a powerful tool that helps them develop important skills they need to help make the world a better place, like confidence and leadership," said Torstein Braaten, CEO, TriAct Canada Marketplace LP. "MATCH Now's market share has grown over the past year and more investors are benefiting from price improvement. Furthermore, our marketplace is well-suited to the natural investor that desires efficient access to real liquidity. We hope our growth in trading volume will translate into a meaningful donation to Right To Play."
"We're very grateful for the support of TriAct Canada Marketplace LP and the TriAct Canada Charity Day initiative," said Johann Koss, founder, President and CEO of Right To Play. "MATCH Now contributions represent an innovative way to fundraise, while the Charity Day gives us a unique opportunity to connect with clients to raise awareness about our global work and champion the tremendous impact Canadians can have by investing in the power of play."
Available to all market participants, MATCH Now is the first Canadian marketplace to offer price‐improved execution for both institutional and retail order flow. MATCH Now, the broker-neutral marketplace, connects broker‐dealers and their clients to a confidential, dark liquidity pool.
