TORONTO, Oct. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Bell Media Sales announced today the launch of a multiplatform campaign by Nintendo Canada for the game Super Mario Maker, which hit shelves on Sept. 11, 2015. Rolled out in Québec on Canal D, Z, VRAK, and TÉLÉTOON, as well as online at canalvie.com, the campaign features TV personalities François-Étienne Paré, Vanessa Pilon, and Jean-François Baril sharing their favourite childhood memories as they dive back into the Super Mario Bros. universe.
A series of TV spots were produced to allow Quebecers to discover Nintendo's new game and its many exciting features. Each 30-second spot features a star reminiscing about Super Mario Bros, and sharing their experience with viewers. Additionally, 60-second clips showcase the three celebrities discovering the new Super Mario Maker's exciting features as they square off against each other to test the levels they created.
In support of the campaign, a four-week contest is also being hosted on canalvie.com, where participants can enter for a chance to win a Wii U console, a copy of Super Mario Maker, an LG smart TV, and more.
