TORONTO, April 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Several representatives of Canada's largest union in the private sector, including National President Jerry Dias, will be at Queen's Park on May 1 to watch the release of the Ontario government's 2014 budget, and will be available for immediate comment.
As well, Unifor Research Director Bill Murnighan and Communications Director Sarah Blackstock will be in the pre-budget lockup, and available to discuss the budget and set up further interviews.
"We are hopeful that the Ontario government will take this opportunity to make a significant and positive difference in the lives of working families in Ontario," Dias said.

Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 305,000 workers, including more than 158,000 in Ontario from the province's key economic sectors. The union was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union merged.
