MONTREAL, March 27, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - A number of city facilities will remain open over the Easter holidays, while others will modify their opening hours.
Most city offices will be closed on March 29 and April 1, 2013, including all borough and Accès Montréal offices and points of service.
Garbage, recycling and bulky item pick-ups
In general, the boroughs will maintain household garbage and recycling pick-ups according to the regular schedule.
Ecocentres
Ecocentres will follow their regular wintertime schedule: Tuesday to Saturday. For more information about ecocentres, residents can consult the Environment section of the city's Web site at ville.montreal.qc.ca
Sports and cultural facilities
Arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres also follow varied schedules set by their respective boroughs. Residents are asked to contact staff at these facilities to check on days and times of operation.
The complexe sportif Claude-Robillard will be closed on Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1.
Space for Life
The Montréal Botanical Garden, Biodôme and Insectarium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. according to regular schedule on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The Montréal municipal court at 775, rue Gosford and the service counter at 303, rue Notre-Dame Est will be closed.

The Pointe-à-Callière Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History will be open on Friday, March 29, and closed on Monday, April 1. Information: 514 872-9150.

Please note that parking meters will operate at all times over the Easter holiday and that motorists also must obey no-parking signs.
