A presence noted within mining industries in Montreal
MONTREAL, Oct. 22, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Today the Québec Mining Exploration Association (QMEA) is releasing its last launch for its annual convention promoting the development of the Québec Mining Industry.
This year the convention is being held in the metropolis of the province, Montreal, one of the largest concentrations of mining expertise in Québec. Philippe Cloutier, President of the Board of Directors of AMEQ, said that the city was chosen as host for this event to reinforce the development of the Québec Mining Industry. "This change insures a greater proximity to the investing sector and the North American market. In addition, in the coming years, Place Bonaventure will have the possibilities of welcoming more companies, prospectors, geologists, future graduates, investors and service providers to establish prosperous and sustainable links". For this first edition of Xplor at Place Bonaventure on October 22nd and 23rd 2014, more than 2000 attendees are expected.
Explore – Discover - Learn
This year, the QMEA will welcome nearly 180 companies in the Québec – Canadian – International Mining Industry. With its theme "Explore – Discover – Learn", Xplor is known by its business networking and development opportunities. This event will allow the participants to acquire and exchange ideas on important issues in the mining industry. Once again, the Association has planned high level conferences to respond to the needs of the members and participants. Several well-known personalities in the mining industry such as Ned Goodman (Dundee Corporation), Neil Phillips (Phillipgold Pty Ltd) and Bruno Repussard (Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank) will be on the podium. Denis Coderre, mayor of Montreal and Honorary President, will inform the attendees on how Montreal's Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) benefit from the numerous mining activities.
